The Importance of Remaining Rational in the "Red Light Green Light" Game

Some players don’t fully understand the rules and payoffs of the game. In the traditional form of the game, elimination means being sent back to the ‘start line’ if players move when they are meant to be stationary. Once players understand the consequences of breaking the rules in Squid Game, panic takes over. Players would be better off putting their emotions aside and playing in accordance with the rules. One useful strategy might be to cooperate (signaling or protecting others), as working together more may survive the game.
